Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation “yogic sleep” this is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the "going-to-sleep" stage, typically induced by a guided meditation. This practice stimulates the hormones in the pineal gland, which releases melatonin -- a hormone that reduces stress, boosts the immune system and helps prevent illness. Yoga Nidra helps to balance the brain hemispheres, promoting better mental performance.
SUMMER BEGINNER SERIES
This summer join the Compass Yoga family in our Summer Beginner Series Workshop. In this 3 part series, practitioners will learn the asanas, breath work, and meditation that make up the yogic lifestyle.
This series is perfect for the beginner who does not want to jump right into a class or for the yogi that wants to go deeper in their practice.
